I have been doing deepsky photography for 40 years with many different telescopes. But now, I am no longer interested in spending long nights doing photography and switched to high resolution lunar/planetary/solar and visual astronomy.
Got this Epsilon 160ED some time ago as perhaps I would still continue to do deepsky, but I realised it sits here doing nothing on my mount. So I am selling it.
I have also owned the 130ED and 180ED Epsilons before, but this one is by far the best, and easiest to collimate as well. Because of the extreme correction (2 micron stars!) it is much more forgiving than the other two Epsilons.
I have just recently cleaned the optics and recollimated, so it is like brand new. Collimation is very stable. You would likely not need to touch it unless by accident (which I hope not!)
I am selling this scope complete with:
- Parallax tube rings
- long Losmandy dovetail for easy balancing
- M54 to M48 adapter for cameras
- Takahashi collimation tools (sight tube and cheshire)
- 3D printed mounting piece to keep an EAF or Pegasus Focus cube exactly orthogonal to the focuser without play. This one really works excellently for autofocusing!
- finder shoe bracket for a standard Vixen dovetail (guidescope etc)
- Geoptik carrying bag
- Original paperwork and manual

Mind: ZWO camera and Pegasus focuscube on the Epsilon are not included of course.
The scope is in Belgian Luxemburg and can be picked up there. It can be shipped, but at the expense and risk of the buyer. I have no longer the original cardboard box, but can pack it in the Geoptik bag for safety.
