I observed this upper stage rocket body several times earlier,
but this was an exellent 89 degrees pass, so almost the closest
possible distance of the object (around 430 km) was reached.
It is no easy object, but some frames were usable and clear
and these are presented here.
This is the upper stage of a H2A2024 rocket which carried
the Japanese satellites IGS-1A / 1B into space on March 28, 2003.
Also 2 fairings of this rocket are still in orbit. The rocket
used for this launch is the largest version of the H2A rocket
