Japan’s H3 rocket could attempt a successful flight to orbit.

<p>The H3 rocket, built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, will be the flagship vehicle of Japan’s space program. Its first flight in March 2023 <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/03/06/science/japan-rocket-h3-launch.html?smid=spacecal">failed to reach orbit</a>, resulting in the loss of an Earth imaging satellite. It could attempt to fly again, this time carrying a test payload and a pair of small satellites. <span>After poor weather delayed a Feb. 15 launch attempt, the flight was delayed to the night of Feb. 16 (it will be the morning of Feb. 17 in Japan).</span></p>
