Russia’s Luna-25 mission could land on the moon.

<br>Russia <a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2023/08/10/science/russia-moon-launch.html?smid=spacecal">launched the Luna-25 mission</a> on Aug. 11. The spacecraft is now on its way to the moon, one of several space missions by countries and companies around the world headed there during the remainder of this year. It will enter lunar orbit on Aug. 16 and then it is scheduled to land as early as Aug. 21. Its primary landing target is north of Boguslawsky crater, located in the moon’s south polar region.
