Du hast Recht. Ich habe mal gegoogled. Auf der englischen Seite vom Teleskopservice bin ich fündig geworden:

Im deutschen Onlineshop hingegen fand ich keinen Hinweis auf die Fertigung der Optik in Japan.
Das Ganze ärgert mich etwas, weil auf der Verpackung des Zoom 5-8mm Serie 2 groß steht: "Made in Canada". Das müßte dann doch eigentlich "Designed and assembled in Canada" heißen. Da fragt man sich langsam doch, was die ganze Herkunftskennzeichnerei noch soll.
