It’s been 20 years since the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster

<br>After 17 days in space, the Space Shuttle Columbia broke up during its return to Earth. The seven astronauts aboard all died: Rick D. Husband, William C. McCool, David M. Brown, Laurel Blair Salton Clark, Michael P. Anderson, Ilan Ramon and Kalpana Chawla. The disaster led to the decision to retire the remaining space shuttle fleet, transforming American human spaceflight.
