Für diejenigen, die interessiert sind oder diejenigen, die ein Plate-Solving Programm verwenden können:
Das kostenlose ASTAP Programm hat jetzt einen eigenen Plate-Solving routine. Es kann Bilder im FITS-Format aber auch JPG, PNG, TIF-Datei verarbeiten und gibt die Bildmitte Position und Orientierung.
Das Programm ist mit der PlateSolve2 Befehlszeile kompatibel und erzeugt eine ähnliche APM-Datei. Es kann auch die FITS-Header aktualisieren oder JPG, PNG, TIF in das FITS-Format konvertieren.
Andere Ausgabeoptionen sind WCS- oder INI-Dateien, die die Lösung enthalten.
Dazu kommt ein flexibles Viewer- und Stacking-Menü für FITS-Dateien.
Mit einer guten geschätzten anfang Position ist die Lösung innerhalb von Sekunden gefunden. Mit einem Offset von 20 Grad in Minuten.
Verfügbar für MS-Windows und Linux. Noch in Entwicklung und in der Version ß0.9.48. Es ist bereits in CCDciel https://www.ap-i.net/ccdciel/en/start (CCD Capture Software) als externes Plattenlösungsprogramm integriert.

For plate solving a star database of 420mbytes needs to be downloaded and extracted to the program directory. It has in principle only three settings,
1) start magnitude
2) limiting magnitude
3) search radius in degrees. The limiting magnitude is a value for the faintest stars in an image of 10 seconds exposure. For FITS this value is automatic adapted to the exposure time. For other formats this has to be manually entered or specified in the command line. There is no need to define the pixel scale or the image astronomical size.
